In conjunction with the 2014 Missouri State Employees Charitable Campaign (MSECC) theme, “Building a Brighter Future”, River City Habitat for Humanity has partnered with the MSECC and constructed the playhouse that is available for bid. River City Habitat for Humanity is an approved, participating, MSECC charity (code #4017).
River City Habitat for Humanity (RCHFH) is a charitable organization whose mission and purpose is to construct quality, low-cost homes for low-income families in the Jefferson City area. Based on the principle of “a hand up, not a hand out,” RCHFH partner families earn 350-450 hours of sweat equity and then purchase their homes from RCHFH with an interest-free loan, financed over 25 years by the charity. The families’ house payments help fund future Habitat homes. Founded in 1992, RCHFH dedicated its 80th home in 2012 and has begun construction on home # 83.
